I have finally uploaded the pics of 2nd day of the HK trip.
Almost die from the waiting time n not forgetting the constant 'hanging' of the com.

Wanted to post lotsa comments but really, the 'hanging' deters me so.

It was pretty fun watching the shows and performances. Really must make it a must to Q and wait paitently to see all the shows inside, else you will regret. As for the rides, i heard there was one was pretty exciting but i missed out on that due the shopping that we gals had spent in the shop. We had actually spent 2 hrs worth of afternoon time inside!!!

And i did no favour to the wonderful fireworks display in the evening.
It was really really magnificient.
And i had vowed to myself, before my 2nd trip to HK again next year, i will invest in a good camcorder!!!

And do bear with me for the pics of the 3rd day with the visit to "Madame Tussards".

2nd Company's leisure Trip -- Destination ---> HONG KONG!!! 7th Aug 2008 - 10th Aug 2008

8th August 2008

Disneyland!!! Here we come!!!

=( have to say thankfully there isn't any typhoon to imprison us inside the hotel room?

It's really mood dampening to have the weather in such a condition.

Me shooting at Chen and Chen shooting at me.

Mama snakie with her "it's heavy rain, what are you doing"

This is actually their bin. A bin specially for cigarette butts.

Wonder what's this Karen so happy about?.. heehee

Inside the theater watching the performance of "The Lion King".

This was the start of the water parade. While it has been fun seeing all these fancifull cars but ain't no mean feat to avoid the frequent spray of water!!!

The tais tais and their shopping bags!!!

The fireworks which marks the end of the disneyland trip.

2nd Company's leisure Trip -- Destination ---> HONG KONG!!! 7th Aug 2008 - 10th Aug 2008

7th August 2008

Our flight to HK was 10.15a.m.
Arrival time at HK Airport -- 2.50p.m.

This was taken during the journey to our hotel @ Tsim Sha Tsui (Kimberly Hotel)
A view of the bridge, but what a hazy view...

After settling at the hotel, we headed to the hotel's restaurant for our company's dinner and the night is to be ended with a good reaping from Mongkok's ladies night market.

We had taken their MTR which is pretty fast and efficient.

But.. damn the weather which made us dashing for shelters here and there during the shopping at the market.
Here's the wet wet ground...

Here's snakie mama with her " =( i'm stuck in the rain "

Yet, we are still happy... hahahaha

What i have learnt about Hong Kong's culture in my first night was... the taxi stand is for show.
Like the ornamental vase. Antique vase.
Nobody every Qs up.
They run. They dash. They snatch. They simply don't care.
And perhaps one might have thought that the guys would or should have that bit of gentleman-ness in them but let me tell u.
The HK guys are CMI!!!

They actually snatch our taxi right before us. We are on the right side of the taxi and them being on the left side. Simply ignore us. *GRRRR* Almost pointed finger at them.

And not much were purchased because of the heavy rain. On the other note, thankfully there wasn't any typhoon though.

HK

It's been 3 days since i'm back from HK, the leisure trip that the company has organised.
But..
i still have not uploaded the pics.

* still in process~~~~....
*think government standard.. slow~~~ lolx...

Have you done your part for our Mother Nature?

For the first time, sitting on my sofa during one of the lazy weekends, watching my dvds and especially my unit (the living room) is one of the rare units that does not face the rising sun nor the setting sun... i actually perspire!!!

It was really a sweltering afternoon!

The heat is coming.

And it doesn't help that on sunday night, it was showing "The Day After Tomorrow".

Watching it again for the umpteen times, i still teared when "Dennis" finally located and found "Jake".

And then i realised, everything is and will be so true.

And yet what have we done? And what can we do?

Drop everything that i have now? Abandoned the civilisation now?

Just like the poor people in the third world countries?

And i can only say, "I don't know".
